Sue Rowley was the head archaeologist for this field school as well as for the Repulse Bay field school last year. Sue is an arctic archaeologist who has roots in the arctic beginning with her father yet firmly established on her own beginning at the age of 16. She taught many field schools to youth in Igloolik.

Sue is based at the University of British Columbia, associated both with the Archaeology Department and the Museum of Anthropology.

To the field school Sue brings an amazing openess and sense of optimism and energy. Sue never gets angry or frustrated, or at least expresses it in a way that you wouldn't recognize it. Her youthfulness and dedication to beneficiaries, Nunavut and the archaeology in Nunavut is a huge asset to the past two field schools she has worked on with IHT - THANK YOU SUE!!!!!
