Marsha is a grade 11 student at Tusarvik School in Repulse Bay. In her spare time she is a member of the cadets, and is apparently one hell of a shot (with firearms, that is) and has won recognition for this skill. She is proud that she can both speak and write Inuktitut and English fluently and is one of the highest attenders in her school.

Upon arrival to the field school, she was very shy, but soon came out of her shell. Early in the field school, she was concerned about her shyness, which soon enough diminished, and became friends with all of us. Marsha is a very sweet and honest person who likes to do well even in challenging circumstances.

"The night everyone was invited to see our (exhibit)... it was fun...I will never forget about the night when everyone came."

Marsha also found the climb up to the top of Igarjuaq incredibly fulfilling with the other participants of the field school. She also enjoyed meeting relatives there that she didn't know she had.
